epoxy Quartz

This is a high-performance resinous flooring system popular in commercial, industrial, institutional, and sometimes residential/garage settings.

  • How it's made — A base layer of epoxy resin is applied to a prepared concrete (or similar) substrate. Colored quartz granules are then broadcast (scattered) into the wet epoxy, embedding them. Excess is removed, and multiple clear epoxy or polyurethane topcoats seal everything, creating a seamless surface.

  • Key benefits:
  • Extremely durable and impact/scratch-resistant
  • Excellent chemical, stain, and abrasion resistance
  • Slip-resistant (thanks to the textured quartz surface — great for wet areas like bathrooms, locker rooms, kitchens, or factories)
  • Easy to clean and low-maintenance (no polishing needed)
  • Decorative — available in many color blends for subtle or vibrant looks
  • Seamless (no grout lines)
  • Often 1/8" to 1/4" thick for heavy-duty use
  • When it comes to outdoors, Quartz is one of the best options there is (Steps especially)

  • Typical places — Hospitals, schools, food processing plants, garages, restrooms, manufacturing facilities, and commercial kitchens.

  • Compared to epoxy flake floors, Quartz gives a finer, more uniform texture (like speckled granite/sand) vs. the chunkier, terrazzo-like look of vinyl flakes.
