Epoxy/Polyaspartic/urethane Full Broadcast Flake
The full broadcast flake system is the gold standard for garage floors and light industrial applications — and ours goes further than most. We start with a moisture vapor barrier epoxy rated up to 22 PSI against hydrostatic pressure, meaning it's engineered to hold back moisture from below before it ever becomes a problem.
On top of that goes a flake broadcast wall-to-wall, sealed with a polyaspartic topcoat (with polypropylene) that's tough enough to handle hot tires, oil, chemicals, and daily abuse. The result is a floor that looks great, cleans easily, and is built to last for years. For shops, we recommend urethane with aluminum oxide for added durability.
For added protection and longevity, ask about a grout coat between the first and top coats. This added layer acts as a barrier to the basecoat and allows for a much easier topcoat reapplication years down the road. While not a necessity, this added step can add years of life to your floor for 15% more up front cost of a traditional two-coat floor.
Key Benefits of this system:
- Epoxy MVP Basecoat: The MVP epoxy basecoat is our heavy-duty foundation. With a hydrostatic pressure rating of up to 22 PSI, it's the superior choice for moisture and impact resistance. The tradeoff is time — it takes longer to cure before the next coat goes down. For floors with any moisture concern or heavy impact exposure, it's worth every minute of the wait.
- Durability — polyaspartic topcoat resists hot tires, oil, chemicals, salt, and heavy daily traffic
- Slip resistance — polypropylene flake broadcast provides grip underfoot, even when wet
- Easy to clean — seamless surface means no cracks or grout lines for dirt and oil to hide in
- UV stable — polyaspartic won't yellow or fade in sunlight like standard epoxy
- Fast cure time — polyaspartic topcoats cure faster than traditional urethanes, meaning less downtime (at the expense of some durability)
- Long lifespan — the combination of a proper moisture barrier and a tough topcoat means this system outlasts most competitors
- Aesthetics — full flake broadcast hides imperfections, tire marks, and everyday wear while looking sharp
- Custom look — flake comes in a wide variety of colors and blends to match any style
